QuickTime 7.2.0 Lag

Ok, now since I updated last time my QuickTime version I experienced a really annoying lag. I took ages in order to open an .avi or whatever file and it affected the front row in the video section. If you tryied to move your selection along the movie/files lists, it was lagged. Until this, I thougth “I can simply use VLC media player to see my movie files”, but if I would had tryied to connect to a movie trailer you had to wait 15 seconds to see the movie start retrieving data from remote server.

So I made a quick google search and I came into a post suggesting a user, for another QT-related issue, to upgrade his codecs. In this case I looked for upgrades of Flip4Mac and Perian components and it tourned out that the ones I had installed were out of date. I upgraded them and now everything works perfectly.
